If you like the thought of relaxing by the fire, and enjoying room service, why not order a home-cooked evening meal from us, made using seasonal local produce, and served to you at the dining table in your room.

Autumn 2020

This is a seasonal menu.  As much as possible, we source our  ingredients locally including using produce from our own gardens.


(For two to share) Plate of anti-pasti, including continental meats, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, fried chorizo, and focaccia bread
Spiced squash soup with cumin croutons
Twice baked cheese and leek soufflé
(Our ever popular!) Homemade chicken liver, brandy and herb paté with toast and local chutney
Rolls of smoked salmon stuffed with horseradish creme fraiche

Main Courses

Herefordshire sirloin steak with creamed garlic mushrooms,  baked potato wedges and mixed salad (£2 supplement)
Moroccan spiced lamb tagine, cooked with apricots and almonds, served with cous cous
Aubergine parmigiana with a mixed salad
Sea-bass fillets pan-fried with lemon butter, potato and fennel dauphinoise and seasonal vegetables
Free range chicken breast, with a creamy tarragon and white wine sauce, buttered potatoes and seasonal vegetables


Honey panna cotta with poached autumn fruits
Chocolate and hazelnut torte with raspberry sorbet
‘Good old!’ sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce and vanilla ice-cream
Abbots Lodge garden fruit (apples, blackcurrants, gooseberries) crumble with custard, cream or ice-cream
A local cheese selection with biscuits (£2 supplement)
